Eckhard

My Dad's been gone 25 years, but today would have been his 79th birthday. I took this picture of him on Christmas Eve 1988 when he opened my gift to him. I got him an autographed picture of Channel 7 anchor Mary Ann Childers (his favorite). He passed away a few months later. When we cleaned out his office after his death, Mary Ann's photo was on his desk. His secretary told me Dad joked with everyone that Mary Ann was his girlfriend. Eckhard was a great guy. I wish he could have been around to meet his grandsons. They would have loved him as much as I did.
