A true comic genius has passed away. Harold Ramis was 69 years old. I met him several times over the years, most recently about five years ago at Second City, and found him to be very charming and gracious.
As a comedy movie writer, he had no equal. He wrote or co-wrote "Animal House", "Stripes", "Caddyshack", "Ghostbusters" and "Groundhogs Day", among others.
This is a big, big loss.
