From Tom Taylor's NOW Column this morning...
Chicago – The top four all look the same, and then you get to #5 – Cumulus classic hits WLS-FM, zooming to a two-year best, 3.4-4.4-4.6. It also ranks fifth in cume, so it’s really earning that share of listening. Going back to the top four, those are CC’s urban AC “V103” WVAZ (5.9-6.1-5.9), CBS Radio’s all-news WBBM plus its FM simulcast (5.0-5.5-5.4), Hubbard hot AC “Mix” WTMX (5.0-4.9-4.8) and CC’s rising top 40 “Kiss” WKSC (4.3-4.5-4.7). Clear Channel’s hot AC “My FM” WLIT is off, 4.1-3.8-3.6. That puts it in the neighborhood with Tribune’s talk/Cubs flagship WGN, 4.0-3.6-3.7. The cume for ’GN has just dropped below 700,000, in eighteenth place. CBS Radio’s classic hits “K-Hits” WJMK Is up to a four-year best, 2.5-2.3-2.7. But Hubbard’s AC “more music, more variety” WILV is softer, 3.0-2.6-2.3. In sports, there’s CBS Radio’s “Score” WSCR, 2.0-1.9-2.1, ESPN-run WMVP, 1.5-1.6-1.3, and Tribune’s Channel 6 audio “Game” WGWG moves 0.5-0.3-0.4. Top 40 “Kiss” holds the cume lead at just over 2.4 million.
