Yes, of course it's tempting to point out the irony of the mask-mocking-everything-is-fine-quit-your-whining-about-200,000 dead people madman getting COVID himself. I'll admit it, my first thought was, God finally said, "Oh, for cryin out loud, move aside, I got this."
But, I must also admit that moments after thinking that, I felt bad, and I don't actually want anything bad to happen to the man or his wife. I personally know five people who have died from COVID-19. It's awful. I don't wish it on it anyone, even the man who called it a hoax long after he knew it wasn't one.
Get well soon, Mr. President. You too, First Lady.
