Just One Bad Century--May 14

The Cubs lost in extra innings last night in St. Louis. They should have saved some of those runs from the night before. I thought the Heckler's take on that game was funny: EVERY CUBS POSITION PLAYER SUSPENDED FOR SUSPICION OF PED USE AFTER MONDAY NIGHT’S 17-RUN EXPLOSION

We posted a new batch of Wrigley history stories this morning. Today in Wrigley history goes back to 1960. That day against the Cardinals went a little better than last night. There seems to be a recurring Cardinals theme at JOBC today, because the A/V Club is about Stan Musial's last game.

There are three Cubs birthdays today: Dirt, Wimpy, and Andy & Adam's daddy.

Today's Historical Event is the establishment of the State of Israel. Where were the Cubs?

If you're going to a Cubs game in this next homestand (like I am on Friday), enjoy the 1930s theme.
