This piece in the Washington Post is pretty revelatory. It's an interview with 60 Minutes reporter Leslie Stahl. She talks about the lead up to her interview with President Trump. Before the interview began she asked him why he always rips the press, and he said..."you know why I do it? I do it to discredit you all and demean you all, so when you write negative stories about me no one will believe you.”
