Mickey Rooney was 93 years old, and was well known for nearly his entire life.
We had him on every show I ever produced. The last few times I crossed my fingers when the microphones went on, because Mickey was a non-stop monologue, and every interview had the potential of going south.
He'll be remembered most for this movie I watched a dozen times or so when I was a kid (because it was one of my dad's favorites)...
