On the left, Beatles recording engineer Geoff Emerick (Revolver, Sgt. Pepper, Abbey Road). Next to him, two guys who are not worthy—me and my buddy Mike Medina. Heard some incredible stories.
He talked about Ringo's squeaky drum chair in "A Day in a Life", about the way he mic-ed up the drums in "Tomorrow Never Knows", and how John doesn't actually sing "Shoot Me" in the beginning of "Come Together". A musical noise (probably a cymbal) makes the "t" sound appear. He's actually saying "Shoo".
For the Beatles nerd, and Mike and I both clearly qualify, this was heaven.
