Pretty soon radio broadcasters will start collecting hazard pay for doing live remotes. This story comes out of Wisconsin via Radio Ink...
Wisconsin sports talker Bill Michaels was hit by lightning last Thursday in Eau Claire while hosting his show from a golf club. Michaels told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel he was sitting at a metal-mesh table when he was hit. He said it burned his arms and fingers and blew out his shoe. He left for the hospital without finishing his show (he hosts 10A-1P on 105.7 The Fan). After 4 hours Michaels was released with a bad headache and numbness in his extremeties.
