This news came out on Friday, but wow, as a Chicago radio fan, I'm thrilled. What a lineup at WLS-FM. Brant Miller, Greg Brown, Fred Winston, John Landecker & Dick Biondi. Hall of Fame, baby!
Today Robert Feder has a photo of the staff together, along with their program director (another former jock) Jan Jeffries. He also has the news that it's no longer considered an oldies station. It's now Chicago's Classic hits.
I know what savvy Chicago radio fans are thinking. Wait a minute, isn't there already a Classic hits station at 104.3, featuring other classic Chicago personalities like Eddie & Jobo, Tommy Edwards, and Garry Spears? Why, yes there is.
This should be very interesting.
