Meet The Beatles is 50

They were already big stars in England (and most of Europe) when "Meet the Beatles" was released in America on this day, fifty years ago. I was too young to be a part of the cultural phenomenon of their first landing in America (I was born in 1963), but I did buy "Meet the Beatles", which is the American version of their first two British albums, when they were still together as a band. It still sounded fresh and exciting when I bought it, and it's still great today.

This song, for instance, still rocks...
