The Redskins Pocketbook

Is Redskins a racial slur? Nearly everyone agrees it is (most importantly, Native Americans), but the one person who doesn't agree is the owner of the franchise, Daniel Snyder. Turns out, Snyder also owns a bunch of radio stations, and those come up for FCC renewal.

Now a law professor is legally challenging the FCC to reject the latest renewal, on the grounds that Redskins is like an obscenity, and the FCC has the authority to reject renewals for that purpose.

It's an interesting approach. If you can't appeal to his decency, appeal to his pocketbook.
