 *On this day in 2014, these four knuckleheads attended a Cubs game together in the midst of a monsoon. From L-R, Randy Richardson, Don Evans, me, and James Finn Garner. Randy has written three books for Eckhartz Press (Lost in the Ivy, Cheeseland, and Cubsessions), Don has written one (An Off-White Christmas), and Jim has contributed to one as well. 

But on that one day, we got soaked.

 *On this day in 2014, Chicago Writers Association President Randy Richardson released his novel Lost In the Ivy on Eckhartz Press.

*On this day in 2018, Windy City Reviews wrote a glowing review of the Eckhartz Press book Cubsessions, co-written by the same Randy Richardson.

 *On this day in 2013, The Living Wills becomes first Eckhartz Press book to be used in school curriculum (Marist High School in Chicago). It will not be the last. Co-author Brendan Sullivan (a Marist alum) was on hand to talk to the students about the book.

*On this day in 2014, Cubs author ("Wrigley Field: The Unauthorized Biography" and "Wrigley Field: THE LONG LIFE AND CONTENTIOUS TIMES OF THE FRIENDLY CONFINES") Stuart Shea wrote this review of the Eckhartz Press book Lost in the Ivy by Randy Richardson:
