The Tribune

The current owners of the Chicago Tribune (banks) have made it clear that all of the newspapers owned by the Tribune company are available. I've previously noted that Rupert Murdoch was interested...which of course would be a terrible thing.

There is another potential buyer, however, according to Reuters today: "San Diego Union-Tribune owner Doug Manchester and Orange County Register owner Aaron Kushner are interested in acquiring Tribune's stable of newspapers, according to people familiar with the situation."
