RIP Kevin Yon

Kevin Yon was a regular guest on Kevin Matthews show back in the day. He appeared as the character "Chef Andre". A gentle man. A real nice guy. Sad to hear the news.

Here is his obituary...

Kevin Denno Yon of Rockford, Michigan, age 67, passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2018. He was born to Carl and Anne (Denno) Yon on March 23, 1951, in Pittsfield, MA. Kevin’s acting and voice-over talent earned him spots among celebrities in movies and commercials. Known as “the voice of Chrysler” and the NFL, Kevin’s deep vocal timbre helped put Detroit back on the map, shape mega brands like Jim Beam and gave a voice to nonprofits. Wherever Kevin was, so was his humor, laughter and wit. Esteemed friend among many, Kevin loved to entertain and cook, spending hours in the kitchen prepping delectable dishes. He brought people together and cooking was a way he showed his love and appreciation. Although a man of many talents, he was revered most for his generous spirit and big heart. His love of family and friends made Kevin the center – the heart – of us all. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and the list goes on. Kevin gave a piece of himself to everyone he knew. Stories will continue to be told and laughter will carry on because of who he was and what he gave. Kevin is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Deborah Yon; loving children, Trillium (Michael) Hibbeln, Seth (Jessica Holland) Yon, Courtney (Jessica) Yon; adored grandchildren, Lucas, Sofina, Halle, Nathan, Ryan, Tav, Wesley, and Cali; brother, Kirk (Judy) Yon; nephew, Christian; and special family friends, the Chapman’s. Kevin was preceded in death by both parents.
