As someone who once got called on the carpet by his corporate bosses for making fun of Survivor (True story--got a call from CBS in New York), I'm guessing that the New York Post may be onto something here. (Even a broken clock is correct twice a day)
Comcast seems to be verrrrrry sensitive about that whole Matt Lauer/Ann Curry story, which also leads me to believe that it's true. I have no proof, of course, it's just an educated guess.
