I was flipping through the channels last night and came across one of the most unbelievable films I have ever seen. It was called "King: A Filmed Record. Montgomery to Memphis" and it came out in 1970. It was just footage of MLK...no commentary at all. Just footage of his marches, his speeches, his confrontations, his personal moments, his death, and his funeral. As a Chicagoan, the footage from his time in Chicago was really hard to watch. If you ever get a chance, check it out. I couldn't turn it off. I've always told my boys that MLK was my hero, that I couldn't comprehend the courage he must have had to do what he did. After watching this film, I admire him even more.
Here's a taste of it...
