Just One Bad Century--March 20

Today's Cubs birthdays include some great nicknames (Hardrock & Trolley Line), plus an all-star, an alleged steroid user, and a hometown kid who got exactly one start for the team one hundred and twenty seven years ago.

On the A/V Club today, we feature a video about the satellite Telstar--a satellite with a Cubs connection.

In the latest Cubs news, the Detroit Tigers are scouting Nate Schierholtz and Darwin Barney. Schierholtz may be expendable because of the emergence of Ryan Kalish. It looks like Mike Olt is going to get the start at 3B today (for the first time--his shoulder is feeling better), and the weakest position in the Cubs farm system has got to be catcher.
