I just like this headline: "This Time, Cubs Beat Mets by Signing Zobrist". And it's in the New York Times. World Series champ and super utility man Ben Zobrist was signed to be our starting second baseman.

On the other hand, Starlin Castro was traded to the Yankees. Castro is a 3-time all-star and is only 25 years old, so it's a risky move. In return, the Cubs got a pitcher named Adam Warren and a player to be named later (reportedly infielder Brendan Ryan). It seems to me they could have gotten more for him, but I'm choosing to trust these guys running the Cubs. (That felt weird even writing that)

So it’s certainly a bittersweet feeling with some sadness that we see him go. I wish him nothing but the best for him and his family in New York and wearing the pinstripes, where I believe he’ll thrive.
