Truffles in the News

I just got this e-mail from Truffle Hunt author Brent Petersen...

A suspected terrorist was arrested on charges of smuggling radical Islamists into Italy to plan attacks. (You can read more about that here.) Italian counterterror police intercepted phone calls made by the suspect where he used the word "truffles" as a code word for "bombs." The villain in my book Truffle Hunt is also a terrorist who wants to start an ethnic war in Croatia. Of all the crazy and outlandish things I made up for my novel, I never thought this one would come to pass.
