May 12, 2014—WGN Walk of Fame unveiled.

=This has become a bit of a joke because WGN moved their studios, and then removed the walk of fame from the sidewalk outside the old studio. Nick D came on our podcast to make fun of it. 

May 13--Mark Giangreco birthday

=Here's the interview we did with him shortly after he left television. 

May 13, 1930—Schick gets patent for first electric razor. 

=Actor Jonathan Stoddard explained to us how to use an electric razor to get that 4-day growth look. 

May 14, 2000—Mothers Day

=Johnny Kaempfer sings Happy Mothers Day. He was 2. Will we play the audio this week on the show?

May 14, 2004—Geico Caveman ad premieres

=John Lehr was that original caveman, and he appeared on our show to talk about it.  

May 14, 1998—Frank Sinatra dies. 

=Tom Dreesen was one of his pall-bearers and he talked to us about that.

May 14, 1907—Johnny Moss birthday. 

=Who is Johnny Moss, you ask? Well, he was the first World Series of Poker winner (1970). We talked to one of his proteges, Tristan Wade 

May 15--Richard J. Daley birthday.

=Shermann Dilla Thomas talked to us about him and his relationship with the crime bosses of Chicago at that time.

May 15, 1960—Don Cardwell no-hitter.

=Yes, of course we have the audio and video. 

May 17, 1934—Ronald Wayne birthday

=Ronald once owned 10% of Apple. You don't want to know what he sold it for. He told us the story in this episode. 

May 18, 1882—Burnley Football Club formed

We talked to 1970s teen heart-throb, Tony DeFranco. And if you're a Premier League fan you know the title race is nuts this year. Adam and I discuss it in this week's episode.

=We interviewed Rico Suave himself, and he was really entertaining

April 16, 1996—Debut of Dere Da Bulls 

=The day that Bulls won their 70^th game, Landecker & the Legends debuted this song.

April 17--Skip Griparis

=Skip is a stand up comic who does musical comedy. He was once a member of the New Colony Six. Fun interview.

April 17, 2018--Chet Coppock passed away

=His old friend Mark Giangreco told us some great stories about Chet. 

April 18, 1938—First Superman comic book released. 

=We talked to a guy who actually owns a copy of that comic, Gary Moondog Colabuona 

April 19—National Poker Day 

=We interviewed professional poker player Tristin Wade, who has also has the thankless task of being Dave's poker coach.

April 19, 1982—"Caught up in You" released

=Rick and Jim Peterik jammed to that song on this episode. 

April 20—Hitler’s birthday

=We talked to the author of "Hustling Hitler" Walter Shapiro about his uncle who hustled the Fuehrer.

    Every week I send my Minutia Men Co-Host Dave Stern a list from our audio archives for this week's Studio Walls feature. These are the possibilities for this week. Which one will he choose?

*October 16 is comedian Abbi Sanchez's birthday. We had Abbi on the show, and chatted about comedy.

*Former Bears great defensive lineman Steve McMichael is suffering greatly these days as he fights ALS. Today is his birthday. A few years ago we had Kevin Matthews on our show and he told us a great story about McMichael, from his football playing days.

*October 17, 1966, the Cryan Shames released their most popular album, Sugar and Spice. We talked to the man who became their lead singer. WDRV jock Bob Stroud.

*October 18 is Mike Ditka's birthday. We've had a few guests on our show that had great Ditka stories, including Howard Sudberry, Rich King, and Jim McMahon.

*October 19, 1995, Tommy Kaempfer was born. We have untold great audio from him when he was a wee lad. (AUDIO)

*October 20, 2011, Tristan Wade won the World Series of Poker Championship-Europe. We had Dave's poker coach on our show a few years ago.

*October 22 is the birthday of Joseph Nye Welch. He was the man who said to Senator McCarthy, "At long last, have you left no sense of decency?" We talked to his great-granddaughter, who just happens to be famous actress Amy Landecker.

*October 22, 1972, President Nixon reopened relations with China. Catherine Johns was on our show once, and explained how that eventually bit her in the rear.

*April 21st is Vince Argento's birthday. The voice of the Minutia Men podcast audio appeared on the show once, and brought along his greatest masterpiece. Psycho on Ice. (AUDIO)

*April 21, 1978, the movie I Wanna Hold Your Hand was released. Rick and Nick DiGilio talked about the greatness of that film during our interview with Nick (Full interview is here)

*April 22 is John Waters birthday. The avante guard film director did a promo for our advertising agency AMISH Chicago Advertising (AUDIO)

*April 22, 2019, the film Avengers Endgame was released. We talked to the man who did many of the stunts in that film, Bobby Holland Hanton. (Listen to the entire interview here)

*April 22, 1932, the Cubs faced the Reds at Wrigley Field. Pat Pieper was the PA Man, and we have the audio of him announcing the starting lineups. (AUDIO)

*April 23rd would have been Lee Miller's birthday. We talked to her son Anthony Penrose about his mother's incredible life, which included taking a bath in Adolf Hitler's bathtub on the day he killed himself. (Incredible interview here)
