One of the "reporters" for the New York Post's Page 6 column has made a deal with her boyfriend. He said he would get her an engagement ring if she made him 300 sandwiches.
So, she's taking him up on it. Right now she's about 124 sandwiches short, but she still has her eye on the prize.
Many women are horrified by this story, but I think it sounds like a pretty fair deal. Even if every sandwich costs her $5 to make (which I doubt), and she gets another $3 for her labor (which is generous for three minutes of work), that's about a $2400 value.
I paid more than that for an engagement ring twenty five years ago. She's still going to come out ahead.
Call me a romantic.
