You probably don't know the name Joel Hollander. He was the CEO of CBS radio for awhile (when I worked there), and let's just say that he wasn't known for his brilliant decisions. Chicago Sun Times (at the time) media critic Robert Feder savaged him, in one of the greatest written takedowns in history. (Sadly, I couldn't find it online.)
You know what happens to these guys, however, don't you? They always wind up on their feet. After nearly destroying CBS, Hollander became the CEO of Westwood One for awhile, and CEO of Echo Place Partners. And now, he's been named to the board of directors of one of the biggest radio companies in America, Entercom.
